1899-O Morgan Dollar

The 1899-O Morgan Dollar is readily plentiful for collectors from uncirculated through gem grades. This was not always the case, as a large portion of the mintage was originally held back in Treasury vaults. When the coins were eventually released in the 1960’s this became a plentiful issues with plenty of gems available.

Collectors can look for the 1899-O “Mico-O” Morgan Dollar, identified by the small size mint mark. This variety is included in the Top 100 Morgan VAMs. Somewhat available in circulated grades, uncirculated examples drive strong premiums.
