For the next eight years, the Philadelphia Mint would continue to mint Morgan Dollars in quantities of greater than 10 million, with several years above the 20 million mark. For this year, higher grade coins are available, although strike quality and luster vary widely.
The Philadelphia Mint produced 1,151 proof coins, but 50 were melted leaving a final quantity of 1,101 proof coins.
