1891-O Morgan Dollar

An interesting and unique aspect of the 1891-O Morgan Dollar (Buy on eBay) is the fact that the silver obtained for the coins were obtained under three separate pieces of legislation. These included the 1878 Bland-Allison Act, the 1890 Sherman Silver Purchase Act, and the 1891 Trade Dollar Recoinage Act. The later resulted in the melting and recoinage or more than 3 million Trade Dollars, which had been demonetized in 1876.
